See Yoko Ono's conceptual art genius at its best at the BALTIC's Between the Sky and my Head exhibition in Newcastle. Visitors are invited to bring their dreams and photos along to add to her wonderfully imaginative pieces of art.
Newcastle's Between the Sky and my Head exhibition comprises of sculptures, paintings, drawings, photography, films and sound installations, as well as participation works and spans Yoko Ono's career, from 1961 to the present.
Highlights of Between the Sky and my Head in Newcastle include the artist's Imagine Peace billboards; her Wish Trees (where visitors are asked to write their hopes and dreams on pieces of paper and hang them on the trees); and My Mommy is Beautiful - a participatory piece in which visitors are invited to bring photographs and memories of their mothers to be attached to blank canvases...
